The following gallery should give you a taste of what is possible in a variety of garden sizes and types. Click any image to zoom to a larger version.
PARTIAL SCREENS
Partial screens offer a good degree of privacy without adversely affecting the feeling of size and light within a garden.
GABIONS AND SLEEPERS
Gabions (stone filled stainless mesh containers) add a modern architectural contrast to the reclaimed railways sleepers used to the form steps.
TERRACES
Gabions being used again, this time as part of a retaining wall in a terraced garden, helping to tame what would otherwise be an unusable slope.
PIRATE SHIP
We’ve created numerous gardens that have features especially for the little ones. Here a pirate ship awaits brave sailors who dare set sail across the great green sea…
DETAILED STONEWORK
We take great pride in the quality and creativity of our stonework. Here, three separate elements join to show how contrasting styles of stonework can be used in conjunction.
MULTI-LEVEL GARDEN
Longer, gentler sloping gardens can be tamed with retaining walls and steps. Here, terracotta tiles blend naturally with the brick wall, and the gravel acts as a free draining surface in the lowest part of the garden.
DECKING
We can design and build decks of all shapes and sizes. This photograph shows part of a large deck with multiple levels that acts as both an outdoor dining and sun lounging area.
AWKWARD SITES
Years of designing and building gardens in Gloucestershire and The Cotswolds means we’re constantly faced with curiously shaped plots, sloping sites and uneven gradients. We think it just adds character, and we enjoy the challenge!
PONDS AND WATER FEATURES
Water can add a whole new dimension to a garden, and this image shows a pond planted to look as natural as possible, surrounded with meadow plants.
PATIO LAYOUT
Care has to be taken to get a natural look in a paving layout, such as in this black limestone patio. When done properly the eye shouldn’t easily detect a repetitive pattern.
STRAIGHT LINES AND CURVES
Curves break up the straight lines in this bird’s eye view of decking cut around a raised pond. A curved edging strip separates the lawn from the planting area.
CONTEMPORARY GLASS BALUSTRADE
This toughened, laminated glass balustrade system adds a stylish modern twist to this deck. Great care had to be taken to get the post layout and dimensions millimetre perfect to accept the specially cut glass.
